Even with perfectly managed international shipping, long transit times can hamper a fast-moving production schedule. So what happens when you have an unexpected surge in demand or need a critical component tomorrow? Waiting weeks for a container to cross the ocean is not an option.

This is why we’ve developed a sophisticated localized third-party logistics (3PL) integration model. We work closely with our customers to select and utilize 3PL warehouses that are strategically located, often just minutes away from their primary assembly facilities.

By positioning components in a nearby warehouse, you eliminate the delays of international lead times and gain rapid, on-demand fulfillment. When you need parts, they’re available—often as quickly as the next day. This model combines the cost efficiency of global manufacturing with the speed and reliability of a local supply chain.

Local warehousing also introduces a new level of flexibility. Our system supports late-stage customization by storing raw, unfinished components at a 3PL facility, then applying final treatments (such as powder coating) in small, localized batches. So if your customer requires a specific colour or finish, there’s no need to wait for overseas production. The part is pulled from local inventory, finished to spec, and delivered quickly.

The engine driving this system is built on complex algorithm logic for intelligent stock replenishment. Our system doesn’t just guess when it’s time to reorder; it computes exactly when inventory needs to be replenished and in what quantities, factoring in dozens of variables to maintain optimal stock levels without creating excess.

To power these algorithms, we’ve developed an automated forecast integration tool. We provide our customers with a specialized Excel template running VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) that allows them to seamlessly import their historical sales data and forward-looking forecasts. This eliminates the risk of manual data entry errors and ensures our VMI system is always operating with the most current, accurate information.

Furthermore, our stocking strategies are not one-size-fits-all. To that end we implement material-specific stocking buffers that are intelligently customized based on the unique lead times of different manufacturing processes.

For example, we might maintain a 1-to-4-month min/max inventory buffer for common sheet metal parts, which have a relatively quick production cycle. But for molded plastics and die-cast components, which require more complex tooling and longer lead times, we’ll implement a more conservative 2-to-5-month buffer.
