We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Quality to lead our Quality Management System, drive operational excellence, and ensure we continue delivering world-class quality to our customers.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in manufacturing, understands complex supply chains, and has a passion for building high-performing teams and scalable quality systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead Prismier’s Quality Organization

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Quality and Shipping professionals.
  • Direct three Quality team members and three Shipping team members.
  • Establish performance expectations, accountability, and professional development plans.
  • Foster a culture where quality is owned by every employee.

Own the Quality Management System

  • Serve as the management representative and owner of Prismier’s ISO 9001:2015 with subsections that should be able to conduct self-audits and handle 3rd party annual audits from accreditation companies.
  • Lead all internal audits, external audits, surveillance audits, and recertification audits.
  • Manage document control, procedures, work instructions, quality records, and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct Management Reviews and drive continual improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure audit readiness at all times.

Advanced Product Quality Planning

  • Lead APQP activities for new product introductions.
  • Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Inspection Plans.
  • Manage customer PPAP level 3 submissions and approvals.
  • Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and quality planning initiatives.

First Article & Customer Quality

  • Lead AS9102 First Article Inspection activities and FAIR package reviews.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer quality concerns.
  • Manage customer corrective actions and non-conformance investigations.
  • Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and other structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and quality performance.

Supplier Quality & Global Manufacturing

  • Develop and manage supplier quality programs.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations, audits, scorecards, and corrective action programs.
  • Collaborate with domestic and international manufacturing partners to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Drive supplier performance improvements related to quality, delivery, and responsiveness.

Metrology & Inspection Excellence

 

  • Oversee all metrology and inspection activities.
  • Manage calibration systems and measurement equipment.
  • Maintain expertise in:
    • FARO Arm Inspection Systems
    • GD&T
    • Blueprint Interpretation
    • CMM Inspection
    • Vision Systems
    • Micrometers
    • Calipers
    • Height Gauges
    • Pin Gauges
    • Thread Gauges
    • Surface Plate Inspection
    • Traditional Precision Measurement Tools

Quality Systems & Data

  • Administer and optimize UniPoint Quality Management Software.
  • Track and analyze quality KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Monitor COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality), supplier quality performance, customer quality trends, and internal nonconformances.
  • Utilize data to drive strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Industrial Technology, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing quality experience.
  • 5+ years of quality leadership experience.
  • Extensive ISO 9001:2015 experience.
  • Strong APQP, PPAP, and AS9102 knowledge.
  • Experience developing and leading supplier quality programs.
  • Advanced understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
  • Hands-on metrology experience.
  • Experience with UniPoint Quality Management Software.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive organizational change.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • Lead Auditor Certification
  • Experience supporting Aerospace, Defense, Medical Device, Robotics, Electronics, or Industrial Manufacturing customers
